US TECH CORPORATIONS HELPING WITH JOBS & CAREERS
Tech-Ukraine is an alliance of US tech corporations with a like-minded mission to fortify the economy of Ukraine. Our core initiatives are to provide accessibility to more tech jobs & tech job training, securing livelihoods during wartime, with the plan to expand postwar to further revitalize Ukraine’s economy.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
We are responding to a crisis. Five million jobs exited Ukraine as a result of the February ’22 invasion. It’s important to remember that men age 18 to 60 cannot leave the country. As the men remain, so do their spouses, partners, parents and children. All of these people live in Ukraine and need to restore their work.
WHY WE HAVE TO HELP
In a war-torn country, supporting mental health and well-being is an integral aspect of survival and the ability to thrive and rebuild. Being employed and earning a paycheck are key components of self-esteem for oneself, and is the essence of what one can bring to the well-being of their family.
WHY TECH TALENT IN UKRAINE
Benefitting from lower labor costs, iron-willed dedication, and highly productive work ethic of Ukrainian IT professionals, companies can achieve their goals faster and with greater efficiency, while also ensuring high-quality work that meets and exceeds their standards.
WE ARE A HUMANITARIAN FUNDRAISING ORGANIZATION
Our investment mission is to fund projects that help rebuild the economy. Rooted in high tech, our first focus is to bring new tech jobs within tech corporations into Ukraine. Also, funds that companies and foundations donate to us will be put to work connecting people with tech jobs and training more people for tech.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY / OUR CALL TO ACTION
Our first project is to secure people’s livelihoods by asking our Members to direct off-shore hiring to Ukraine. We partner with organizations in Ukraine that augment and re-skill the tech community which increases the ready and available pool of talent. We aim to impact 30,000 lives with job intros and/or new skills.
